The Kingfisher Cool Shade Curtain is a clever accessory for the Kingfisher Bimini that allows everyone on the boat to be in the shade at any time of the day.  Everyone knows what it’s like to move around chasing the shade of a tree or marquee, but you can’t do that on a boat!

The Cool Shade Curtain quickly and easily clips to the top of the Kingfisher and along the gunwhale.  The curtain is 2500mm long and 1100mm tall and is purpose built to suit all Kingfisher Bimini sizes.  It can easily be moved from either side to the front or back of the Kingfisher allowing you to combat the sun regardless of where the wind, tide or current is coming from.  Made from95% shade material that will cut out most of the damaging UV rays as well as light rain, while still allowing some breeze to come through, the curtain will keep you cool in the shade.

How does it work

Across the top of the Cool Shade are 6 strong plastic hooks that quickly and easily attach to the top of the frame of the Kingfisher Bimini.  Along the bottom are 6 stainless steel (316) eyeletsthat are used to secure it to your gunwhale, bow or stern. Because no two boat designs are the same the Cool Shade comes with a length of quality shock cord and 6 hooks to enable you to connect them in a way that suits your boat. The cord can be run from one end to the other with the hooks free running along the length, or the cord can be cut into short lengths with a hook on each one. Whatever suits your boat the best. If you’re looking for even more shade you can easily join two Cool Shades together. Each Cool Shade has loop velcro on three sides and a strip of hook velcro is supplied with each curtain. With the greatest of ease, you can have 50 or 100% of your boat covered with a Cool Shade curtain which is great for those long afternoons on the water or extra protection for overnight adventures. To make pack up easy, the Cool Shade comes with a sewn on waterproof storage bag. When you’re done with it simply fold it back up and it neatly fits into its bag ready for your next trip.

An important thing to understand is that the Cool Shade Curtain must only be used when the boat is at anchor. If you are drifting or underway the curtain will impede a 360° view, so it must be dropped or fully removed before moving the boat.  Code: KFA-COOLSHADE
