KingFisher’s 20 years of manufacturing, installation and use have allowed us to test and refine each individual part in the KingFisher to ensure that they perform at their optimum level.
Our 20 years of experience has also taught us that not every boat and boatie is the same and each one has their own needs and requirements. As a result we have developed a number of ‘Kits’ that enable the KingFisher to be tailored to the user’s needs.
Speed Stays
KingFisher biminis can drive up to 60 Km/hr in calm conditions, however punching through waves and driving across swells or with heavy side winds will put extra stresses and strains on the bimini structure. If you are intending to go at this speed regularly or travel above 30 km/hr (16 Knots) in rough conditions we recommend you install a KingFisher Speed Stay Kit. The kit consists of two fully adjustable stays that connect the front of each side of the bimini to the mounting brackets (supplied) on the gunwale providing extra strength and stability. Once you’ve reached your destination you can easily remove the locking pin from the mounting bracket and fold it up to the bimini frame clipping it up out of the way using the supplied Double C Clip. Within 30 seconds you are back to being able to enjoy your unobstructed 360° view. Code: KF-SPE-ST
Rail Mount Kit
Every boat is different and some boats have rails fixed to the gunwales at the point where the bimini needs to be mounted. The Rail Mount Kit allows the bimini to be mounted easily to the rails, instead of the mounting brackets. The KingFisher can still be folded forward and backwards for storage. Code: KFA-01
Cool Shade Curtain
The KingFisher Cool Shade Curtain is a clever accessory to the KingFisher Bimini that allows everyone on the boat to be in the shade at any time of the day. Everyone knows what it’s like to move around ‘chasing the shade’ of a tree or a marquee, but you can’t do that on a boat! Code: KFA-COOLSHADE
Stabiliser Brace Kit
The Stabiliser Brace Kit is ideal for centre and side console boats that are looking to go harder. The Stabiliser Brace Kit can be mounted to the console and provides a 5th bracing point that significantly reduces any sideways movement of the bimini from punching through waves and driving across swells. The bracing pole is fully adjustable so as to fit most boat set ups and comes with a mounting bracket for the top of the console as well as a rail mounting bracket. Code: KFA-03
Plus 100 Kit
The height from the gunwales to the top of the bimini is 1.4m and from the gunwales to the bimini frame 1.06m. For most boats and individuals this is sufficient, however if you are a bit taller or your deck is set higher, like on a self draining deck, you may feel that the KingFisher is a bit low for you. The Plus 100 Kit allows you to easily add 100mm of height to the height of the KingFisher. The kit comes with all the parts and instructions required for installation. Code: KF-100-RB
